Maida - 100gm
Sugar powder - 100gm
Unsalted Butter - 100gm
Egg - 2
Tutti Frutti - 2 tbsp
Vanila/pineapple essence - 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 pinch
1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree C.
2. Grease a loaf tin/mold and dust with maida.
3. Dust the tutti frutti with half teaspoon of maida.
4. Sift together maida and baking powder and keep aside.
5. Whisk together butter, salt, essence and sugar powder till it is light and fluffy.
6. Break egg and mix properly with butter-sugar mixture adding 1 egg at a time.
7. Fold in maida in the above mixture in two batches.
8. Fold in the tutti frutti in the batter, save few to sprinkle on top.
9. Pour the batter in the mold and spread evenly. Sprinkle few tutti frutti on top.
10. Place the mold in preheated for 20 minutes.
11. Insert a toothpick in the centre of the cake to check if the cake is properly baked. If it comes out clean, remove the cake from the oven. If not, bake for some more time and repeat the check.
12. Demold after 5 minutes and allow to cool before cutting it.
