Maida - 45 gm
Whole wheat aata - 45gm
Almond powder - 90gm
Egg - 3
Sugar powder - 150gm
Refined oil - 180 gm
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Pineapple essence - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 pinch
Chopped almond - 1 tbsp
1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree C.
2. Sift maida, aata and baking powder together in a bowl.
3. Grease a baking dish and line with butter paper.
4. Mix egg, sugar, essence and salt in a mixing bowl with a whisk till the sugar dissolves.
5. Add refined oil to the egg and sugar mixture and mix properly till you get a homogeneous mixture.
6. Add almond powder to the this mixture and mix properly.
7. Add half of the sifted maida, aata and baking powder to the above mixture. Mix gently.
8. Fold in the remaining maida + aata gently to get a smooth batter.
9. Pour the batter in greased baking dish. Sprinkle chopped almond on top. Put it in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
10. Insert a toothpick in the centre of the cake to check if the cake is properly baked. If it comes out clean, remove the cake from the oven. If not, bake for some more time and repeat the check.
11. Demould after 5 minutes and allow to cool before cutting it.
