Aaloo (potato) – 5 (medium size)
Mustard oil – 2 tbsp
Hing – 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Finely chopped fresh dhaniya patta (coriander leaves)
Masala
Dhaniya powder – 1 ½ tsp
Jeera powder -1 tsp
Ginger powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp or as per taste
Amchoor powder – 1 tsp or as per taste
Haldi powder – ¼ tsp
1. Boil, peel and cut aaloo to cubes.
2. Heat oil in kadahi and hing to it.
3. Mix all the masalas together with 2 tbsp of water.
4. Add the masala mixture to oil and fry it for 1-2 min.
5. Add aaloo to the fried masala and mix well.
6. Add salt, mix again. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5 min, stirring occasionally.
7. Garnish with dhaniya patta and serve hot.
