Aaloo (potato) - 500 gm (boiled, peeled and mashed)
Peas - 250 gm
Black Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Roasted Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
Chat Masala - 1 tsp
Refined Oil - 1/2 cup
Jeera (cumin seeds) - 1/2 tsp
Green Chilli - 2 (chopped)
Salt to Taste
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Add jeera and green chilli.
2. Stir till brown. Add fresh peas and cook for about 15 minutes.
3. Cool and coarse grind the peas-chilli mixture. Keep aside.
4. Mix roasted jeera powder, pepper, chat masala and salt in the mashed potato.
5. Make balls with the potato mix.
6. Make small balls with peas-chilli mix and fill them inside mashed potato balls.
7. Flatten the stuffed balls to about 2" dia and 1/2" thick tikkis.
8. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry tikkis to brown colour on both sides.
9. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
