Arbi - 250 gm
Methi Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli, Whole - 1 or as per taste
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Mustard Oil - 2 tbsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
1. Peel the arbi, wash thoroughly and pat dry.
2. Cut the arbis in round slices, thickness approx. 2-3mm.
3. Heat oil in pressure cooker, add methi seeds and allow it to crackle.
4. Add red chilli and then add the sliced arbi. Fry in oil for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add salt and turmeric and stir for another 1 minute.
6. Add 1 cup water, mix and close the cooker lid. Pressure cook till 2 whistles or till done.
7. Once done, add lemon juice and mix. Serve hot with paratha/puri.
