Johar,
I am Partho Ghosh, born and brought up in Jamshedpur. But presently, I live in Kolkata.

As a child, I was attracted to Hilly Terrains, Lush Green Forests, a lot of Waterfalls and Dams in Jharkhand. Above all, I have remained attracted to people of Jharkhand for their simplicity, food, lifestyle, and social behaviour.

I always wanted to stay near nature, water, forest and I found that “Car Camping” is a great way to stay close to nature and de-stress. And what can be a better place for car camping than my birth state Jharkhand. Recently, I camped with my partner Debashish, my “Bachpan ka Dost”, in several places in Jharkhand. Mera Sapna thora bahut pura hua. We car camped in Bara Torlo Dam, Lisimoti, Pansua Dam and Tumung… and also enjoyed the Van Life which is very Popular in Western Countries.

We travelled several places of South and Western Jharkhand and enjoyed Road Trip on Tata Nexon car. During the entire period, we neither checked-in any Hotel nor ate in any Restaurant, barring once. We have had a Bed, Kitchen and Toilet set up in our Car and didn’t need any outside help on that front. My Bed, Toilet and Kitchen Setup has been discussed at length in my videos. Hope you will enjoy the video above which depicts our one of the episodes of car camping in Jharkhand.

If you decide to go on “Car Camping”, my advice will be to first select the right location. It is important to have Hills, Waterbodies and Jungles. Approach Road is the next important thing to decide. It is after all a Road Trip. Bad roads can ruin an otherwise good experience. Also, roads must go through beautiful locations, good to have a scenic location where one can stop and prepare a cup of tea to refresh.

Security of the location is also very important. These days Google Map can easily give information whether we have a village around the place. It is good to connect with a villager nearby before reaching to the location to find out if they have issues of Wild Animal, or anyone raising Political or Spiritual objections about the location. Please note, many Jungles are Sacred, and locals may not like anyone to enter without spiritual reasons.
