Besan Ki Sabji

Besan Ki Sabji

Ingredients

Besan (gram flour) - 100 gm
Onion - 1 (medium size, finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 (medium size, finely chopped)
Jeera Seeds - 1 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cooking Oil - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Chopped Dhaniya Patta for garnishing

Method of Preparation

1. Mix besan and salt with water to make a batter of pouring consistency.
2. Pour some oil on a hot tawa. Spread the batter on tawa to make a dosa like cheela.
3. Roll/fold the cheela, cook on a low fire till it starts turning red. Cut into small pieces.
4. Heat oil in a Kedahi. Add jeera seeds. When it splutters, add onion and saute till
    golden colour.
5. Add garlic, ginger and tomato. Stir for a while.
6. Add garam masala powder, red chilli powder, haldi powder and salt. Fry till
    oil separates.
7. Add 200 ml of water in the fried masala to make curry and allow it to simmer for
    5 minutes.
8. Pour this curry over the cut besan cheela pieces and garnish with chopped
    dhaniya patta.
