Location: The
Garhwa district is bounded on the north by the state
border of Bihar and on the south by the state border of
Chhattisgarh. The Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh borders
lie along the western border and to the east lies the
Palamu district. The river Sone flows along the northern
border and the river North Koel flows along part of the
eastern border.
